Alexander Technique is taught in single 50 minute lessons through guided use of everyday activities such as walking, sitting down, standing up, and lying. According to individual needs, specific activities can also be worked upon, e.g. working on the computer, music making, dancing, acting, doing sport.
Each and every person begins a course of lessons with their own unique set of needs and desires. This means that the shaping of course duration and the number of lessons is individual. The aim is to build up a body of experiential knowledge which enables the learner to independently apply the principles of Alexander Technique in their everyday pursuits.
Step by step the learner deepens their sensory appreciation, developing a new understanding of the body and the ability to move naturally and without pain.
